watercolor

primeira-aquarela One day, I was watching art videos on YouTube and, in one of them, I saw an artist using watercolors. It was the first time I'd ever seen someone using that kind of paint. I was impressed by how beautiful it was. I never used watercolor paint as a child, nor had I even seen anyone using it.

I immediately went to the nearest art supply store and bought a watercolor paint set, brushes, and an XL sketchbook. The watercolors were the cheapest they had, haha. I started painting every day. The paint was so chalky, but I was so happy with it. After a while using those watercolors, I wanted to buy a better quality one. So I bought a new set that was a little better than the one I had. It was called Pretty Excellent, student-grade. I became so addicted to watercolors that I wanted to try every brand in the world.

In the beginning, I was painting a lot of flowers and roses. Then I started painting cityscapes. After a while, I started participating in an art challenge called draw your day and that's when I started painting things from my daily life. I think that was the coolest phase of all, because it was always a challenge for me to paint things I had never painted before and without any tutorials to follow.

mijelo

One of my favorite brands is mijello Mission Gold, a South Korean brand. I love the intensity of the colors after the paint dries. All the colors are made with natural pigments, nontoxic pigments. They have a total of 105 colors available. I love the shades of pink and blue from this brand.

I don't know if other people feel the same way, but I feel that watercolor is the most fascinating paint medium that exists. I've also painted with acrylic and gouache before, but none of them have what watercolor has. If I could, I would spend all day talking about.
