tulips and gouache
I finally bought the gouache I’d been wanting to get. I figured this brand would be better than the ones I’d tried before, but not this much better! I absolutely love this Holbein gouache! If I had known it was this good, I would have bought it sooner. I can’t believe I let the other brands I used before keep me away from such a fun medium. I used to think all gouache was chalky and dull, but I was wrong. Holbein gouache is smooth and vibrant, and it has a velvety texture. So beautiful! I’m so glad I gave it a second chance. I bought the 18-color, 5ml set. I love the colors, and I took the opportunity, while I was at the Blick, to pick up a few more individual tubes.
Colors in this set: brilliant orange, carmine, emerald green, flame red, leaf green, lemon yellow, magenta, permanent green deep, permanent white, permanent yellow deep, prussian blue, turquoise blue, ultramarine deep, violet, yellow Ochre, burnt sienna, burnt umber, ivory black.
Colors that I bought separately: brilliant pink, rose, rose violet, pink, permanent white, primary cyan, primary yellow and olive green.
