it's a new season

I am grateful to God for spring, which comes as a sigh of relief after such a harsh winter. I am grateful for the warm weather and for the sun shining in the sky. I love sunny days. I am also grateful for Spring Break. I really needed a week off. I thank God for all the blessings He has bestowed upon us since the very beginning of our lives.
This week, I started doing a spring cleaning. I began with my closet; I’ve already tidied everything up and cleared out a lot of items I no longer use. I also organized my art supplies and tidied up my desk. There is still plenty left to do, but I am excited to continue cleaning and organizing our home.
I feel as though the year has only just begun. My zest for life has returned. I have just two more months of work left, and after that comes summer break. I’ll miss my coworkers, but I’m more than ready to stay home and do nothing.
I’ve been spending a lot of time making art lately. I feel so happy. I’ve been spending less and less time on my phone, and that has had a positive effect on my life. Writing on Bearblog has helped, too.
Last month, I bought a lot of things and I didn’t feel guilty about it because it had been a long time since I’d spent money on things like that. I bought quite a bit of art supplies and stationery. I ended up returning a few items because I didn’t like them, but others I truly loved and have been using almost every day. I don’t know exactly how much I spent, but I know it was worth it. I believe we need to treat ourselves every now and then. Because if you don’t do it for yourself, who else will?
Anyway. I hope that you, the person reading this, are also doing well and feeling happy. I hope that everything in your life works out 🩷
