a pleasant sunday
Yesterday, my husband took me downtown. We went first to my absolute favorite store: Blick Art Materials. He knows how much I love that buying art supplies. It had been a long time since I’d visited. I ended up buying more colors of Holbein gouache.
I really wanted to buy more Sennelier watercolors, too, but since I already have more than enough, I decided not to get any. It was tough choosing which gouache colors to buy, though, because I wanted almost every single one.
After that, we went to the Reading Terminal Market for lunch. I ordered falafel and a strawberry-mango-peach smoothies. My husband ordered something else, I forgot what it's called, and a green apple smoothie. For dessert, we bought some fresh cookies. Everything was delicious!
We got back home around 4 PM. I lay down to rest because I was feeling really tired. My plan was to take a one-hour nap, but I couldn't fall asleep, so I got back up and went to my art corner to paint with my new colors.
Around 7:30, a friend called and invited us to dinner at Yard House, so we went. It was our first time going to that restaurant. The food was wonderful. I ordered a pasta dish with mushrooms. My husband ordered tacos. My friend ordered the same thing I did, and her husband ordered a pasta dish with meat. We ate, chatted, and laughed. It was a great time.
I absolutely loved our Sunday, and I told my husband that we have to do exactly the same thing next weekend!
